We're excited. Joe’s Daughter is now on Pinterest. Here’s a rundown of our first boards:
One of my guilty pleasures is aphorisms – those quotes that might make you think, or laugh, or pause. Some leave me cold, and many are just naff, if I can still use that word over 30. But look at those from Dear Blank Please Blank, which are playful while coming from some uncomfortable places, or others from Inkhelp, where a portion of the sales benefit charities, and aphorisms can become something else.
There’s also the beginning of our library: I rarely laugh out loud at books but I did with Jenny Lawson’s Let’s Pretend It Never Happened. And Elyn Sak’s memoir The Center Cannot Hold had me questioning again and again how we as a society treat, and view, mental illness.
And finally, for our third board, we’ve pinned a few of those sources that we look to beyond psychology: art and culture, food and community. These are the things--people-centered, design-minded, and socially conscious--that form the framework for Joe’s Daughter.
Come visit... We'd love to see you.
